oh... boy

Yesterday I got a package in the mail, and in it was some unexpected birthday gifts. One of the items was a replica of a Germanic Iron Age find, with a figure and a runic inscription "I am called Hariuha, wise about misfortune. I bring luck." I actually LIKE IT. Which anyone who knows me, knows I'm picky as hell when it comes to heathen related jewelry and crafts. I'm shocked at how much I like it. @_@

... I think the new guy at work might be interested in me. Though when it comes to myself, I'm pretty damn oblivious usually... I can't tell if he has interest, or it's just because he's new and trying to socialize...

And during lunch today, he did say he always found the Norse Gods far more interesting than the Greek and other Gods... when I mentioned I do some academic writing in the field.

I'm surprised at myself for not gaping at him with that, two shocks in a short period of time? (The invitation to lunch, followed by this comment during lunch)
